(excerpt from the story) It was a long while she stood in that place, yet within moments she felt her insides move, as the moon and sun moved, in harmony together. Like the ocean tides and shoreline connected in a rhythmic tandem sway. She felt it - the shift within her. The gaze of her eyes, the focus, the haze that had floated around her head, keeping her beneath the cloak of the mountain clouds, finally lifted; her eyes came into focus. It happened fast when it finally did. She saw the blackbird in all its glorious wisdom, she saw the growth above and below, she recounted the things that had brought her to this point, this place; of initially not knowing, a familiar place of belonging, a call to home. Yet to be free she realized with profound clarity that she had been brought to a place of service, a place guided by a divine power of her own heart and soul. To allow a sweet surrender to the not knowing and allow the Being-ness in this life, barren yet full of life, oh the intriguing paradox of Both And. The greyness of the ground hard rocky places, gave way to life in forms of unusual flowers...gently and softly her soul whispered, remember me?
